There is no meaning or purpose to anything unless we give it meaning or purpose. Life as we understand it is a random convergence of natural forces and so are galaxies, planets, crystals and everything else in the universe. That doesn't make it any less incredible or wondrous, and no gods are necessary for that to be so.

The fact that we can give things meaning and create purpose is enough to realize that nothing in nature has any Intrinsic meaning or purpose including ourselves. If we were without that ability we would indeed be blind to the concepts of "purpose" or "meaning". We would simple take things as they are with no further thought to such things. We would not even have words like "purpose" or "meaning". They simply would have no existence. Just as the other animals on earth have no use for such concepts. |

Humanity decides its own moral standards. So no one placed it inside us. It is an evolutionary result that was beneficial for survival. We would not be here if it didn't happen. But the variations in morality from culture to culture is evidence that we have created our own morality. Not that we are perfectly moral because we could always be more so. The only requirement by nature was that we were moral enough to survive. But morality evolves along with the culture. Note that we no longer stone people, while in the Middle East there are places that still do and much worse. |

I found my happiness when I became atheist and rejected the gods presented to me by religion. I'm happy and free. I take responsibility for my actions when I make mistakes and I get all the credit when I do good. I think for myself, be who I am, and best of all, I live guilt free. And I don't have to be threatened with eternal torture to behave myself. |

i think, nothing has been created, the universe is "self discovered"
the universe has a "self", you and me are part of it. ;)
hence, when you are thinking about the universe, the universe is thinking about you.

No, I do not worship myself. I do not worship anything. I have no need to worship.
You say, "How easy and simple it is if death is final, I accept that theres hell and heaven after this life." No, you have faith that such places exist, but you cannot accept what you cannot really 'know' because you merely believe it is so. That is where the lack of information comes into play. We are alive and since there is no objective evidence of an afterlife it is reasonable to accept that death is final. So logically speaking till new evidence comes to light saying otherwise death must be considered final unless you have 'faith' that religions are factual. Faith is belief with no objective evidence or in spite if evidence to the contrary.

Why can "God belief" be fixed? Because it's inconsistent with reality. "God belief" is a result of a lack of knowledge, lack faith in oneself, and an inability to accept that death is final. |
